The State Superintendent’s Master Teachers Project is a plan of professional development for teachers in the state of Oklahoma to meet the five goals of No Child Left Behind (NCLB).  The professional development plan is a “train-the-trainer” model to develop a cadre of teacher-trainers in six regions of the state.  The six regions are Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, Southeast, Oklahoma City Metro area, and Tulsa Metro area.

Master Teachers attend on-going professional development training during the school year, serve as leaders of school-based study groups, and collaborate with other teachers to conduct the State Superintendent’s Regional Curriculum Conferences during the summer.
