Literacy and Basic Skill Instruction
Adults of the 21st Century are required to think and read critically, to express themselves clearly and persuasively, and to solve complex problems in science and mathematics. These aspects of literacy are required in order to successfully negotiate the complexities of contemporary life.

Literacy/Basic Skills classes help adults master the needed skills in math, writing, and reading, while also improving their job readiness and life skills.

GED Preparation
The General Educational Development (GED) Tests consist of five tests which measure achievement in subject areas equivalent to a high school program of study.

As the adult learner becomes more proficient in their specific area(s) of need, they can utilize these essential skills to take and pass the GED Tests. By passing the GED Tests and earning a State High School Diploma, adults can enter postsecondary education or job training, gain employment, or advance in their current employment.

English as a Second Language (ESL) / English Literacy (EL) Civics
ESL classes are offered for adults with limited English language skills. Students learn spoken and written English communication skills, as well as survival skills. American citizenship skills are also integrated into the ESL curriculum.

Family Literacy
Family literacy programs offer adult education and effective parenting skills for parents, early childhood education for their children, and parent and child together time. By learning together, families become empowered to break cycles of undereducation and poverty.

OK Works/ Work Readiness

The CRC is a portable skills credential which is nationally recognized, and can be used to facilitate job placement, retention, and advancement in our mobile society.
