The following screening assessments were approved by the State Board of Education (SBE) on July 7, 2005:
- Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS)
- Literacy First Battery of Screening Instruments; recommended by the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (OCTP)
- Phonological Awareness Skill Test (PAST)
- Literacy First Phonics Assessment
- Curriculum Based Measurement (CBM) Oral Reading Fluency
- Basic Early Assessment of Reading (BEAR)
