CARG-M is a resource for teachers in developing lessons and activities for students who will be taking the state modified assessments. This resource also has ideas for teaching students taking the regular assessments who might need some additional assistance accessing the information in PASS. Oklahoma's Building Academic Vocabulary Suggest Word List
Oklahoma educators participated with Dr. Robert Marzano in developing a suggested word list of Academic Vocabulary. You can download the list and use it as you would like in your district. You might also be interested in dowloading some sample worksheets | pdf | Word | that can be used to teach vocabulary. Dr. Marzano's Web site can also give insight into research-based strategies for teaching Academic Vocabulary in content classrooms.
